To integrate your Shopify POS to ShipEarly it requires creating a private app to work. Please note at this time we only support single store integrations and not multi-store. So we will aggregate the inventory across all your stores if you do opt to set it up.
- In your Shopify Admin click Apps > App and Sales Channel Settings
- At the top of the screen click Develop Apps. Permission must first be turned on if you have not done so.
- Click Create an app
- Give the app the name 'ShipEarly' and click Ok
- Click Configure Admin API Scopes
- Provide Read access to Inventory, Products, and Locations. Click Save
- After saving be sure to click the Install App button in the top to make the app active
- Copy the API Access token that gets created
- Inside ShipEarly visit Inventory Settings
- Paste the API acces token into the Admin API access token field in ShipEarly Inventory Settings.
- Set your default currency you have for your Shopify store
- Ensure Shopify / Shopify POS is selected
- Obtain your Shopify Shop name that is displayed in your admin console. admin.shopify.com/store/{yourshopname}. In ShipEarly within the Shop Domain field enter {yourshopname}.myshopify.com in
- Put your store tax rate in and hit Update
Optional:
If you would like us to create the customer and place the order into your Shopify store the following additional permissions must be granted for the app:
write_customers
write_orders
An order cannot be created without the ability to first create a customer. For orders to write make sure the checkbox Create sale in POS system is enabled on Inventory Settings.
